Oconee Youth School of Performance

Oconee Youth School of Performance is an award-winning studio offering classes in dance, voice and musical theater for ages 2 1/2 and up. Open house and class registration for 2012-13 will be held Aug. 12 and Aug. 18 from 2-4 p.m.

Classes begin in September and continue into May, with a spectacular end-of-year show at The Classic Center Theatre in downtown Athens. Students who wish to train at an advanced level can audition for OYSP’s competition dance and musical theater companies that have won numerous regional and national awards. Most recently, OYSP was named “Best Dance Studio” and “Best Performing Arts Studio” at Access Broadway’s regional talent competition held at Stone Mountain in March 2012. Terra and Shane Hannon, who founded OYSP in 1998, were named “Best Directors.” Visit our web site or Facebook page for more information, including a registration form and 2012-13 class schedule.
